Mission:

To manage and maintain the arena for the activities, events, and practices of the church, providing a welcoming and supportive environment where individuals and families can gather to enjoy equestrian activities, strengthen their faith, and build community bonds rooted in Christian values.

Community Gathering: The arena ministry serves as a gathering place where people come together not only for equestrian activities but also to build relationships and support one another. This aligns with the biblical encouragement to not give up meeting together.

Encouragement: The ministry provides a platform for members to encourage and uplift each other in their faith journeys and daily lives. This mirrors the biblical directive to encourage one another, especially as challenges or difficult times may arise.

Spiritual Growth: By participating in activities and events at the arena, individuals have opportunities to strengthen their faith and deepen their relationship with God. The verse reminds us of the importance of spiritual growth and support within a community of believers.

Preparation for the Future: The phrase “as you see the Day approaching” emphasizes the anticipation of Christ’s return. It serves as a reminder to remain steadfast in faith and unity as we prepare for the future and continue to gather together in fellowship.

Team Meetings: Monthly after 1st Sunday

Duties:

The ministry is responsible for preparing for practice and events, as well as maintaining and repairing equipment.

Arena Hours:

Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter Hours:

• Open: 2nd week of January to 3rd week of May
• Closed: 1st week of July to 1st week of September
• Open: 2nd week of September to 3rd week of November
• Closed: 4th week of November
• Open: 1st week of December to 3rd week December
• Closed: 4th week of December to 1st week of January

Exceptions:

The arena is not available on Thursday nights if there is a church event or Federal holiday. Please follow updates on our Lone Star Cowboy Church Arena Group Page on Facebook. If you don’t use Facebook, call before you haul. Contact Tinker Files at (469) 358-2424 for any arena-related questions.

Requirements:

Current Coggins:  A current Coggins test is mandatory. Horses without one cannot be on church property.

No Dogs: No dogs are allowed except for service dogs.

Additional Requirements:

1. Do not attend if you have been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19.
2. Do not attend if you have had a temperature over 100.4°F (38°C) or have been sick in the last week.
3. Do not attend if you have traveled outside of Texas.
4. If you are 65 or older with health issues, prioritize your safety and participate at your own risk.
5. We encourage wearing masks and maintaining 6 feet of distance.
6. Check your temperature before arriving; do not attend if it exceeds the range:  Adults/Children: 97°F (36.1°C) to 99°F (37.2°C).
7. Failure to meet any of these requirements will prohibit participation in activities at the Lone Star Cowboy Church Arena.

Weather Conditions:
