OUR MINISTRIES

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR FAITH COMMUNITY

Mission:

The goal is to introduce children, and their families, to Jesus Christ through horsemanship.

Bible Verses:

“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it”. Proverbs 22:6 KJV
“The horse is prepared against the day of battle but safety is of the Lord”. Proverbs 21:31 KJV

Agenda:

Sessions begin with Bible study (with lessons and verses), prayer, and end with lessons in horsemanship skills. The horsemanship skills include safety around horses, horse anatomy, names and use of tack/equipment, grooming procedures, basic riding skills โ€“ beginning with lead-line, and safely mounting/dismounting the horse.

Activity dates and times:

9:30 am โ€“ 10:45 am the first Saturday of each month (unless cancelled due to severe weather issues or major Church functions).

Requirements:

Release form signed by parent/guardian, riding helmet (personal or ministry provided), closed-toed/heeled footwear (boots or sneakers โ€“ NO sandals/flip-flops), jeans or long shorts, and we request the attendance of parents/guardians during the sessions.

Future goals:

We are working towards our students building their ability, and confidence, to ride solo and to begin walking through play-day/competition patterns.
